I know we are a litte bit OT...
@ Deman. I am in another forum as well and I saw you there also. In the view of recovering the "bricked" ECU do you beliave what someone state as follows:
....I have read/write many edc15c7 on bench without ever having any problems using only 12V, GND & K-Line. The only issue with this ecu is that if you write a few times by obd sooner or later it will lock you out and can not read/write anymore the solution is to desolder the e2prom and then you can flash it all you want, once finished just solder back the e2prom.

UPDATE:
The dashboard red engine warning light is definitely due to mismatch when copying the eeprom file from ori to donor.
I swapped the chip and the red light is gone when using the ori eeprom chip.
It is, as known, a ST 5P08C3 I used TL866II pro toread as M95080 or 25LC80. Progarmmaing as 95040 because if I flash as 95080 it returns error. I wil lkeepinginvestigate this issue and possibly understand how to make a 100% perfect copy of eeprom content.

Engine runs good with Deman map, there is a very light "jump" at 2400 rpm. If I accelerate slowly the "jump" is less evident. The torque seem more progressive if compared to the starting tuned map.

Hi Vince!
there is a very light "jump" at 2400 rpm

The jump occur because from 2250 to 2500 rpm TL is little bit aggressive in that zone - it allows 70 mm^3 for 2250 rpm and 73 mm^3 for 2500 rpm which is 3 mm^3 more for that rpm increase. You can smooth the TL curve from 2250 to 2500 rpm.

Hey Genadko, glad to see you back
I am enjoying playing around with three ECU. Luckily they are very cheap so it is more conveninet to buy an ECU rather than spares part! Fine your suggestion. I will try to smooth the TL.
But I still have two battles to fight:
- first is against the fuc... eeprom that does not want to be copied in the proper way... :ugeek:
- second against boot mode of 29F400 chip
I will let you about next steps!
Thank You for your support.

Regards from Italy

I opened a couple of threads fo r specifi questions but I think is ok to report here too the results on behalf of members.
Car now runs ok.
Red engine warning light is due to mismatch of dump from the read copy process I did with my programmers that were NOT supporting the specific chip 5P08C3. The only way that worked was read as 95080 and flash as 95040. This has definitely brought some mismatch and loss of information so that the result is the light on. Other than this no problem at all.
One ECU is presumbly "dead" due to crash of VM during flashing. I am trying to recover but so far no boot worked. I will try programming as soon as I get the adapter for the programmer.
As last thing a point about my maps. I have winOLS and map pack. Two maps are targeted as Map "Bosch 16" but I can not understand what they are controlling.
First map memory location: 767B6, size 12x12
Second map memory location 77EA8, size 8x8.
Just for my knowledge, what maps are these?

Thank you

I made some adjustment to the TQ as Iike a little bit more torque at lower RPM. Here is what I did...what do you think?
green: very first starting mapping
dark blue: my last update
very light blue: Deman version
light blue: ori file

Hi Vince!
I think that you TL should have smooth curve like on this picture.

Hi Genadko  ,
Yes I did that way. Nice and smooth, max torque 2750 rpm, then slowly descending
