I completely disagree witih you, as fasas I know:
- the quantity of exhausted gas recycled by the EGR is from 5% to 15%. I really doubt that such a small amount of gas will bring overpressure;
- the function of the EGR is to recirculate exhaust gas back to the intake manifold ONLY to low the pollution and not a way to reduce pressure into the manifold;
- the EGR usually causes some loss of power (because exhaust gas are sent back into the cylinder) and some smoke;
- the major problems are occurrung when EGR is stuck OPEN not when it is closed;
- there is no warning light and the car runs great expecially at low RPM where I mapped the maximum increase as this car is poor at low RPM;
- there a DTC code but this is relevant to the ECU function monitoring the EGR. It does not show anything in the dashboard;

Thank you very much for the explanation, but I know perfectly well how an EGR works, luckily I have many tests done with it and I give faith in what I said. By overriding it, overpressure is generated in the exhaust manifold and must be compensated with opening of VNT, in addition to decalibrating the flowmeter setpoint, since then DTC P404 will appear, and the vehicle will push less than leaving the EGR without canceling.
Regards!
