I wish I could say that there is a lesson to be learned here, but I don't know what it is. If I made a mistake, I would be able to tell you what to and what not to do.

Out of interest is the EDC17 the one with multiple two part maps that need to be re-combined ?

like RPM Freak said:
Tuning Protection / Anti-Tune "feature" at MED17

It is a lot of explanation on internet about it.

i think it depends on what tools you have to download the files with -- Dim sport GENIUS are able to get the files through the OBD -- none other can! I learned this this weekend.

Galletto2 have to use boot loader, and so do others.

Ill check CMD out and see if theirs can access the file through the OBD.

RPM freak wrote:I think that you locked the ECU by mistake. To unlock it try this:
1. Take out the boot wire from the ECU.
2. Connect the ECU to the car.
3. Disconnect the cooler fans(remove the fuse).
4. Turn the ignition on and wait for more then 30 minutes.
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Wait few minutes.
7. Start the car.
8. Make a happy face.

thanks for the advice
