Great info.

Thanks guys.

I'm starting learing EDC15 now, this is bookmarked for next step :)

Also guys, do you know where I can find similar guides for pertor engines? Turbos and N/A...

I guess N/A petorl engines are easiest to tune correct? timing, torque limit, cam timing, AFR nothing more?

if you dudes wanna understand SOI read this article more than once :D

http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/99-03-7-3l-general-discussion/238060-what-you-really-wanted-know-about-soi-7-3l-tuning-general-2.html

an important quote
Reducing SOI provides more post-TDC combustion and more push on the piston during the downward travel, this improving the torque curve.

Reducing SOI most of the time means increasing the corresponding values inside the SOI map. Because injection takes place BTDC (before top dead center).

Hello, I'm totaly new here. I was reading a lot of literature and this post i think was most valuable of all.
I have some doubts before modify my ECU maps. My car is Opel Astra Z19DT with EDC16C9.
Drivers wish, Torque limiter maps are clear. I have problem with NM to IQ table.
For exmaple i want to move torque limiter up to 350Nm, this is max value in NM to IQ table. To get these 350Nm i need 76mg/stroke IQ.

In SOI table max IQ value is only 70mg/stroke, in one of the boost maps max IQ is 64mg/stroke.

So i should uper SOI tables axis to 80mg/stoke and leave others like they are now or also uper for example boost maps axis?
Also one wery strange that in another boost table RPM/Nm in X axis is up to 750Nm. How it's possible and why its done like this?

Thank You in advance.

Hi guys,

I am new on this word of mapping and I am looking for some further information on EDC16.

I am actually working on a BMW 320d e46 150ps and i founded some maps.

But i am a little bit confuse with the boost maps. The x axe looks like I.Q. and i was hooping to find Nm.

There is a conversion that i missed ?

if someone can explain me it will be great.

Thanks
Ricardo

What is the point of Tuning Guide and MAP list with adresses
if nobody wants to explain
-which values need to be changed for each Map?
-how much these values can be changed in certain RPM range?
-what are the limits?
:?

Limits are hardware...turbocharger,clutch,gearbox,injectors ...etc
