Change view to display bytes instead of words. Switch has 1 byte length. Possible values: 0, 1.

in 16 bit view :
00256 = 1
00000= 0

just found the switch. Had to change from Lo-Hi to Hi-Lo organisation inside of WINols.

Which hardware do you use to flash the ECU? I read it with a Galletto 1260 clone, but not sure if I should also write it with it :D I wrote the ECU of a Citroen C8 successful with it, but I need my Passat to drive to work every day, so maybe I will buy another one :)

U used MPPS V13 (clone) to flash this ECU without any problems (with power supply connected to battery, to make sure voltage doesn't drop below 12V).
I read somewhere that Galletto 1260 can brick it. So take this into account.

Btw, will you have any problems in Germany if car has no DPF/EGR?

Okay, I will order also a MPPS :)

In Germany it's not allowed to replace the DPF and EGR. But I think they can not see the changes. But I have another old DPF and will keep the original one. So if they make some trouble I will change back.
