Mercedes s320cdi year 2002

Postby tomppa975 » Sun Aug 03, 2025 8:26 pm

Hw 0281010828 Sw1037351690
EDC15C6

I did make backup kess v2 obd. Then AI modify that .bin and i flash it ecu. Now ecu wont answer, cant write anything. Car wont start.

So can i use full backup original file other ecu(same hw and sw), flas it ktag inside ecu? Then flash that partial kess v2 file?

Or what to do?

I just order ktag, i’m not even sure do it support mercedes om613 engine ecu…

Is there free full backup for this ecu what i can use?

I also try disable egr and maf, maybe immo too..

If you did read flash then you have backup, when you writed mod something was wrong Kess or checksum or mod.
Sometimes these MB ecus are tricky.
You don't need complex tools, simple like Galletto or MPPS works good, you will need bootmode and write your backup.
If you want upload your backup here to check if it's ok and original (you could use other flash original yes).

You can upload with other file extension or sites like file.io

Usually all tools do full read of flash in EDC15, so Kess should read full 512kb or 1mb file.

Your file is ok original, full flash backup, writing it from bootmode should work. If not use this https://limewire.com/d/Yz38L#y3ZXheJ24A

Immo must work except if you did anything like emulator.

This should work https://wiki.obdtuning.de/index.php/Bosch_EDC_15C6_(Mercedes_Benz)

First try with Kess normal mode (not bootmode) if it has recovery for your car, write your backup straigth without ID. If not any cheap KKL FTDI with Galletto 1250 or MPPS.

kess v2 wont take any contact..even if i try bootmode (Bootpin graund, then ECU on, remove ground), not any contact..maybe aliexpress kess v2 was DOA

I wait ktag to come few weeks..if that wont work, i try find KKL FTDI

Really I won't go with K-Tag. Simple tools commented are better and cheaper and works for most EDC15x.
