More Orange, Carprog...

For stop talks about 95P08 = 95080 info from chip datasheets:

95080 ////
The M95080-DRE is a byte-alterable memory (1024 × 8 bits)
organized as 32 pages of 32 bytes
8 Kbit Serial SPI bus EEPROM

95p08////
The 8 Kbit memory is organised as 64 pages of 16 bytes.
8 Kbit 4-wire serial EEPROM

This is differents chip!

This is the way it is sold: :?:
95080 (95P08)
1. - 5pz - SMD STMICROELECTRONICS http://www.ecuvonix.com/95080-95p08-stm ... -p-85.html
2. http://www.cantarellaelettronica.it/eep ... 95p08.html

Yes, I see. BTW it is quite strange the car starts.
The only way I succedeed was as follows:
read 5P08 as 95080, then flash as 95040. This was the only way to have the car starting and running.
Same result if I:
read 5P08 as 95080, then flash a 95080 with read dump.
I guess the relevant information for the ecu to start are correctly stored and read.
Now question is: could 95P08 be replaced with 95P08?

Today I tried again reading the original 5P08C3 several times with TL866II plus (read as 95080) and I got 3 same files. I flashed the dump into another 5P08C3 and into 95080 but same result. Car starts but red engine warning light is ON.
It is not a big deal to me as long as the car starts and runs properly but it is study case I was doing trying to solve the issue.
Which programmer is able to read the 5P08C3?

Did you not read my post???
Read 5P08C3 as 95040 (Correct rotation) and read as 95080 (Full data) and I will edit it so you can use a 95080
(5P08C3 = 95040 x 2 NOT 95080)

Hi, Shooting. No, I did not read your post I "jumped" it by mistake...sorry about that :eh:
Ok, let us give a try! I enclose the dump from the original 5P08C3 read as 95040 (what is correct rotation?) and 95080.
Actually I played a little also comparing the dump from the donor ECU eeprom and tried to edit where I found it possible deleting donor data and writing my data, but still red light on. To give you a full picture, the car starts and runs good, so no limp mode. But when I connect to the ECU the only mismatching information is the ECU software version...it does not shows 0281001955 but some weird symbols. My guess is that the key informations for th ECU to allow the engine running are ok. Somewhere something does not match.
If you look at 95040 dump line 000001C0 you can read:
11 09 30 32 38 31 30 30 31 39 35 35 00 FF 00 FF that is ..0281001955...
if you look at 95080 dump same line the content is different.
I tried to change this bits but still no changes in the situation.
As said I am not a software expert so I have no clue about this different output from reading.

Your 95080 read is wrong, it's just repeating. You can try reading as 25080 as we only need the last part of the data.
Your read as 95040 is a good read and this will be the first part of your 95080

NB: you can also try this on a 95080 and see if it works

Ok I am going to try your file flashed on a 95080. Again, the issue is just the red light warning, nothing else.
I do not have on hand the original eeprom dump as 25080 BTW I have a read as 25LC080, if this is ok, you can look at the enclosed file that is NOT the dump from original, BUT a modified dump from the donor ECU eeprom where I simple replaced some values (the numbers 091.09 ---> 184.24) guessing these were some sort of "key"code.
Off course I do not have the capability to understand what and where is written into the memory locations.
I hope I made myself clear!

It's the same, if you look it's a small block repeated many times, without a full read you'll not get it to work

1. I flashed your file into a 95080 but same result. Car runs, red light on.
2. A this point I have no other attempt to carry on. I see what you highlight but this is the dump I am getting using TL866II plus...is there anything I should adjust when reading the chip? What could b the reason of this bad reading form original eeprom 5P08C3?

...should I try to read the original eeprom as 25080?...maybe using EZP2019 as well?

Proper way will read 95P08 as 25C80 and write 95080 as 25080.
Because 95P08 and 25C80 have 16 byte page but 95080 and 25080 have 32 byte page.
