Tl866 is a discontinued programmer. The new ones are XGecu TL866II Plus.
I have both, and only use it for sop48 and plcc32 flash ... for all other eeproms, I use VVDIprog.

If you have a 95P08 chip then read it as 95080 and write to a new chip (95080) and you can use a TL866A to do this, done it many times, then throw the old 95P08 away ;)

This looks like a smart exit strategy  one point only...I have an old 5P08C3, not a 95P08 ...guess I can read the old 5P08 it as 95080. If so the puzzle is solved.

You can read 5P08C3 and 95P08 as 95080 and replace them with 95080.

I bought a couple of M95080 and flashed with original dump from my 5P08C3 (read as 95080).
I still have the problem of the engine red warning light staying on and the error code p0601 ECU CHKL error.
Therefore I am not sure if the original dump is actaully a "good" read.
My opinion is that in my case reading 5P08C3 brings some bin mismatch that makes the CHK faulty.
Does anybody have a good dump from 5P08C3 from EDC15C7 from a Punto JTD 955-392?
It would be helpful for studying purposes.
Thank You.

You might have to edit the file before writing,
read original 5P08C3 as 95040 and compare the first have of each file to see if it needs editing.
I can edit it for you if different

It is impossible direct replace 95P08 to 95080. Chips have different addressing. 95P08 have 1 byte address format, but 95080 have 2 byte address format. When you do this replacing ecu will send 1 byte addess and will accsess only half of 95080 eeprom.
See attached document.

Alex_sk, I am not a technician but agree with you that there MUST be something different between chips that does not allow the ECU to correctly recognize the informations. Today I tried again reading the original 5P08C3 several times with TL866II plus (read as 95080) and I got 3 same files. I flashed the dump into another 5P08C3 and into 95080 but same result. Car starts but red engine warning light is ON.
It is not a big deal to me as long as the car starts and runs properly but it is study case I was doing trying to solve the issue.
Which programmer is able to read the 5P08C3?
