I also wanted to try with HDS.
But, in Italy, the hardware interface is not to be found. It is only one on ebay and cost a lot. :evil:

You, what hardware interface use with HDS?

Ebay HIM HDS.
Window 7
USB to Serial converter.

You MUST install CD USB/Serial driver 1st or windows 7 will download bad drivers from windows update.
Even with proper drivers installed windows 7 tries to get bad drivers from windows update 1st....so you must FORCE windows7 to abort while it is attempting this..it then loads the CD installed drivers.

The interface alone (without HDS) will be issues with a COM port of 5 or similar when plugged in.
When you connect the HDS to the usb/serial, windows 7 will change the com port again.
You MUST use com port 1 or HDS cant communicate.
You MUST check this when HDS is connected and CHANGE it to com 1 if necessary.

With regard to the EGR Table, the max mg/str (air) is 1500?
And the max mg/str MAF, how is?

I currently set MAF mg/str 1500 across the board on tables 1,2,3.
HDS says target MAF is 1200 and not 1500....might be due to the lambda table axes set at 1200
Dont know until I change the lambda axes

I also Change duty % in tables 1,2
Initially I set all at 85%(15% inverse) as per the majority.
HDS reported EGR duty 20% stable in feedback mode (no errors).
Open loop minimum = 5% duty.
So must be 15+5% = 20%

I tried to change all values 2000rpm+ to 0% duty.
HDS reported EGR duty random 19-23% unstable at all rpm/iq.
So 15% must be the lower limit in the feeback tables.

Gear torque limiters were tested today.
Gear 2 = 50mg
Gear 3 = 55mg
Gear 4 = 60mg
DW - 66mg.
All gears still hit 66mg so these IQ gear limiters must be disabled :(

But in the cilinder not enter the air from the valve EGR and the MAF? 1500+1500=3000mg/str @ max load
The EGR not should pass 5-15% the total air?

No the EGR does not work like that.
See attached.
Original & Factor.

EGR map = Allowed airflow before EGR opens.
EGR duty map = Valve duty % required to maintain mass air flow (in EGR map)

If actual MAF is less than EGR map then the EGR stays shut.
EGR duty appears to be a calibration map that reduces actual airflow to that given by the EGR map.

Egr map.
IQ vs RPM = less than 1500 mg/str (air)

Egr duty map
IQ vs rpm = greather than 15% duty
[(X * -0.012207) +100]

I will try the air temperature switch tommorrow.

EDC16 seems that it does not close the EGR modifying the EGR table

in the EDC16C31 of BMW the switch EGR is an address 0C3A56.
On a Civic may be nearby? I did not found it.

Both start from e0000.

I'll look later tah.

The 2nd air temp switch was tested today.
-30c to 0c = normal
-30c to 30c = mofified
EGR remained in feedback mode so this is definitely not EGR switch.

Torque limiters failed at 50, 55, 60mg (factor 0.01) for 2nd 3rd and 4th gears.
Had a hunch, so set 2nd gear only at 30mg and restored the rest.
IQ was limited to 50mg in 2nd gear only on HDS.
So ALL gear limiters are in fact NM (factor 0.1) based and not IQ based.
300nm = 50mg ..using nm>iq
