it can with original tools (ktag ori, flex , autotuner, cmd, bflash)

For bricked ECU need to open, connect to BDM port with a proper tool, read actual Flash, MPC, EEP for backup and write good Flash dump.

Or if you don't have tool for BDM buy the same ECU and repair immo with with EEP programmer.
