Want to remap ECU on e46 320d 136hp 100kw, where to start?

Hello all, would like to remap ECU on an e46 320d 136hp 100kw, where to start?

I know I need a special OBD interface Mpps, got that already, don't know what are the next steps. Any help is appreciated.

I am interested in some powe boost but keeping my car on the safe side as much as possible.

Depening on ecu... most of them edc15m can be done via obd without special things...
