The car sounds great (I can't see any pictures yet) I have a 106 GTi that I'm building for track, just thought I should see if you know the standard engine really shouldn't go over 7300 rpm, the hydraulic lifters don't get enough oil pressure to sustain that speed, you'll need to convert to solid lifters for reliability at those revs :D

How'd you find the gripper diff? I have a quaife ATB diff but not driven with it yet..

I used to run a VTS rally car for a friend of mine. He had a gripper in that and loved it !

7300 rpm is very low...original citroen sport(crap)chip has rpm limiter set on 8000 and car was working for 6 years with no problems, no damage...you can really rev it up!! hydraulic holds to 7800rpm according to citroen documentation.
