Safe to Flash EDC17CP14 via Kess?

Postby mttlr » Sun Sep 13, 2020 11:12 pm

Hey guys,
i wanted to ask if i can flash my car via Kess without having any problems.
I've seen a lot of arguing about this bcs some say that you can flash without problems by obd and some say that you have to do this at a bench.

VW Hardware Number: 03L906022G
VW Software Number: 9978
VW System Type: R4 2.0L TDI G000SG
VW Engine Code: CBBB
VW System Data: EDC17_CP14

I've read that every EDC17 VW after 2009 has TPROT but my GTD's initial registration was april 2010, so i'm not quite sure about it.
I'll attach the File my friend read out by MPPS bcs i'm still waiting for my Kess to arrive.

Thanks in advance! :)
