Remap flash tool, recommend?

Postby wannabe » Fri Jan 08, 2021 5:59 pm

Hi
Could anyone suggest some remap flash tool for beginner (possibly not too expensive), I would like to start and learn something about remaping so I am looking for a little bit of help. Any help is welcome.
Thanks

I'm a beginner as well.
After some research, I sought to choose between the FGTECH GALLETO V54 and the PIASINI ENGINEERING SERIAL SUITE V4.3

I have opted to go with the Piasini V4.3 as its cheaper on a few sites. I have a few spare ECUs to play with so I don't mind practicing with the cheaper hardware. once I get accustomed to the work, I will then probably decide to go with some of the branded units.
If I fail at this, I don't have to care much on money spend on hardware as these clone units are fairly cheap.

I hope this helps to get you going.
If any of the pros here has a better suggestion, please do consider their input. As mentioned I'm a beginner as well so I'm learning as much as I can from what I can find and interpret.

Autotuner seems to be quite appreciated.
If playing with Autotuner, and want to remove egr, evap, ... change some tuned maps for various cars, from various suppliers... have to look at tcu/tune a bit according to a tuned maps...
Which/what kind of a sw package is needed? Cheap recommendation? A good one?
