BMW MS42 M52tu 2.5L Tune For Headers and Other

Postby kb3dox » Tue Jan 05, 2021 4:18 pm

Hello, I'm looking for a tune that would help with a little power for headers, 21.5lb injectors, M50 obd1 intake manifold (removal of DISA valve), removal of after cat o2 sensors, removal of egr pcv and smog air pump ie. all emission related parts and no speed limiter. I'd be up for paying a small fee. Please advise! Thanks for any help, been working on this thing a while. I have a K+DCAN cable and a nice laptop for flashing as I am familiar with bmw ISDA, ISPA and such.

Good luck with finding someone who did this for a small fee ? 50€?
If this thing should run well you need a tuner which well known with MS42 not a blablabla and time because of logging.
M50B25 Intake is much more than just a disa delete.Hole model of intake is different and will need logging.
egr? never see something at a petrol... (yes some vanos overlap... but not physically).

Ok, well I'll just put a standalone on her. I have lots of experience with VEMS and Motec boxes. I just kinda wanted to avoid building a harness and all. But it seems to be easier then playing with the factory box when it comes to this stuff. The MAF should maintain proper fueling in general. But it depends on it's limits. I've stayed away from programing the factory ECU's because it takes so much more time then using a standalone...

Standalone = ~1/500 of the parameter of MS42. If you reduce to relevant, necessary maps ~1 /50.
Originale OEM are everytime much more complicated than a standalone aftermarket.

I'm just looking for help, not opinions or arguments. It's obvious you have never worked with Ferrari V12 engines and aftermarket MoTec boxes. They can be more complicated then the OEM ECU. Thanks...

LOL small fee? seeing that you want to decide what you want to pay, how much is small fee in your terms just so everyone can get on same page what you are willing to spend. cos whats small for some is allot for others. so would be nice if you are specific so you dont waste peoples time

Sorry, I was thinking around $150 - $200. But I may just go standalone, I want wideband o2's in both headers along with egt's. I'll be going turbo in the summer. I just wanted something to get the check engine light off till then with maybe a bit better idle... I got a set of 330i zhp cams I want to put in too. Again, sorry. I try to be quick when I'm making a post because I don't have much time at my desktop right now.

Maybe you should upgrade that MS42 to MS45.1 which has wideband O2 sensors. I've been tuning all these MS4x ECU's since 2004.
