someone please help checksum my tune

Postby heavenh » Thu Dec 31, 2020 6:57 am

Hi guys,

new to the scene.

i have a golf gti mk5, i am using mpps and i can ecu id my car, read but it says to checksum first before writing and there is no option to checksum.

i have downloaded the trail version of winOLS but cannot check sum my files, it cannot reach the server to check files.

can you guys please help or recommend any program i can use to checksum or if its possible via mpps, then how do i do it?

- Do i need to checksum the Original file and the mod file before i can write to the ECU via MPPS?

thank you in advance.

cheers,
Edward

thank you so much for that!

yeah thats what i've read. i just dont have the option on my screen.

I can see :

ECU ID
Read
Write

EXIT

then a warning saying, no checksum, you need to checksum first before writing.

are you able to please checksum the modded one for me to if thats ok? thank you very much and happy new year!

i've pmed you the pw for this one.

cheers,
edward

Worst case.
NO Knowledge, fake tool, bin file from anywhere and for sure no extra good power supply!

So enough.
If you do ID what is shown? Screenshot?
VCDS able to reach ecu?
Easiest way. You need someone with a bdm tool to fix.
Better this guy got more knowledge about how to use. Let him open ecu and read flash and do the work of "repair".

Med9.5.10 + MPPS = Problem
Voltage 13,5v or higher during programming is essential.

2 options now -> BDM recovery or second hand ECU with immo off

PS> ebay DataBase files are not best quality. Believe me, tuners have to eat as well, support them
