BMW EDC16C31 Dynamic EGR

Postby juice » Sun Dec 30, 2018 10:54 am

Hi folks, i know the solution for VW ecu's where dynamic EGR helps engine on faster warming up.
Any idea if there is any solution for BMW edc16 ecu ? To keep EGR active until 70 - 75 degrees, then totally close it.
Thanks.

Hello, sorry for changing the subject but how about the dynamic egr for edc15?
I know what raivwo said in a different topic but I'm unsure as to how to convert the values to celsius degrees...
raivwo wrote:There is sequence 02951 02931 00900 00880 03931 03881
first two values is min coolant temperature for EGR function 22 and 20'C
next is minimal atmosphere pressure 900 and 880mbar for the same
and last is max coolant temperature for EGR function 120 and 115'C
Just change Patm values to 1100 and 1080 and EGR is OFF until Patm reaches 1100mbar :)
I found this solution, and it works 100%

Hmm, I don't get it why anyone wants an introduction? Do you determine someone's skills based on it or what's the point? :?:

Its not like you get to know me in person or all my history... so still pointless but I get it. Communities are about helping each other and without an introduction I can't be part of the community. Got it in the end. Sorry.

For future reference, editing a post is not possible? I didn't want to make this post just to increase my post count... so an edit would of been perfect. EDIT: An edit button just showed for this post... weird.

Also not to make an increase in post count, now that I put up an introduction and I'm eager to learn, how is that celsius conversion done? I don't get it.
Thanks and sorry.

Dynamic EGR solution fixed, i will post here
These are IQ related EGR hysteresys (Axis is rpm, values is IQ), this is for EGR off, just refreshing the minds.
E21FA 16x1 AirCtl_qHigh_CUR
E22A2 16x1 AirCtl_qLow_CUR

These are temperature related EGR hysteresys. Just set them at around 50* or 70* and this will disble EGR by coolant temp.
E2346 (single value 16bit HiLo) AirCtl_tClntWrmHi_C
E2348 (single value 16bit HiLo) AirCtl_tClntWrmLo_C
First value is when EGR goes OFF(highest temperature), then second is when comes back ON.
