Hi folks, i know the solution for VW ecu's where dynamic EGR helps engine on faster warming up.
Any idea if there is any solution for BMW edc16 ecu ? To keep EGR active until 70 - 75 degrees, then totally close it.
Thanks.

first two values is min coolant temperature for EGR function 22 and 20'C
next is minimal atmosphere pressure 900 and 880mbar for the same
and last is max coolant temperature for EGR function 120 and 115'C
Just change Patm values to 1100 and 1080 and EGR is OFF until Patm reaches 1100mbar :)
I found this solution, and it works 100%

I know what raivwo said in a different topic but I'm unsure as to how to convert the values to celsius degrees...raivwo wrote:There is sequence 02951 02931 00900 00880 03931 03881

I have E60 525d with 390905 where EGR hysteresis is 4x1 x 2 maps. This way EGR is off but MAF desired and boost desired are not the same as actual.
With this temp mode, will it be same as when engine is not hot and all the settings will be as if there is no conditions for EGR to work fully ? What values should Iset in order to disable EGR when engine reaches let say operating temp of 70 degrees ? Also, will shutter valve work when engine shuts off ?
And dont know where but I have read somewhere that voltage for EGR to operate should be changed, from default 8.9 to let say 5 but my intake shutter valve did not work when engine shutting off and I got DTC for it.
Thank you and sorry for long reply.

Hello to all,
I have tried this dynamic EGR off and it works but eith one, for me, major minus. Boost desired and actual are same, MAF desired is lower than actual but not as much as with IQ hysteresis EGR off. But, intake shutter valve does not work and engine shut off is not smooth.
I will try Patm mode for EGR off but I think that it will have the same outcome becise all this AirCtl switches are in air control monitor section.
I want to find some mao which controls and tells the ecu to actuate EGR rate in corelation with engine temp and intake temp. What i have found is that egr rate is 15% when engine is 40 degrees and 60% with 60 degrees so there must be some factor map for this
