Problem DPF OFF by Swiftec - Croma 1,9jtdm 150KM EDC16C39

Postby gzysiol » Tue Feb 10, 2015 11:59 am

Hi,

Due to DPF problem in my car, one tuning company has switched off DPF in my car by using Swiftec software. Filter inside is physically removed.
They said that ecu file has been changed correctly. Unfortunately i found some problem during using my car after DPF OFF.
Symptoms:
1. Increasing consumption of fuel
2. Probably inection still gives more fuel than should be
3. Car smoke like during DPF burning.

Please see below information from FiatEcuScan. It is strange that value of clogging is 1000% - it is incorect.

- Filter Condition " NOT CLOGGED " ( FiatEcuScan )
- Differential Pressure Sensor " 5mBar " ( FiatEcuScan )
- Filter clogging " 1000% " ( FiatEcuScan ) - in my opinion it is a strange symptom.

Details about car and software.

Fiat Croma 2009r, 150KM, 1.9MultiJet, Automatic gear,
hardware: 0281012962
hardware version: 00
software: 1037391910
version: 3641
Bosch EDC16C39 CF4/EOBD

I attached two files (original and after DPF swith off by SWIFTEC). These files has been read and write by OBDII.

Would you please kindly check these files and give me solution of this problem?
Hope you will support me in this matter even I am only end-user instead of company.
Would you please work on these files and send me revised it to be correct?
The tunning company which done it cannot help me in this matter. I hope you can.
Thank you in advance for your efforts. I will appreciate your help a lot!
I do not have an idea who can I ask about this issue so I decided to ask you for help.
As far as I know there shall be only few bites changed.
Would you please kindly check attached file?

Hi,

I lookeed at your files and for me DPF switch is ON in both.
In this case there is a single switch which should be on 0 and in the files what you show this switch is on 1.

But I am begginer and for you it will be better if somebody else will write something more about it.

PS

I need to perform DPF OFF in my friend alfa romeo 159 1.9 jtdm 150hp so correct me if I am wrong above ;)

hi,
i have checked the file.

In general modified things are pretty good but far away from the total DPF OFF.
In this file cca 12 parameters were change, but for total DPF OFF (CUT OFF) - that means you can unplug any DPF component from wiring and also that car will show proper parameters and that car wont show any DTC errors related to the DPF and also that car wont drop in regeneration mode ever again you need to change at least 48 parameters for this file.

I have checked major thing what your software changed:

DPF - Particle Filter Status Vs. Engine Status Matrix
DPF - Delay Time After Engine Start
DPF - Error debouncing time for error ""too many regenerations are exceeded to max. allowed regeneration time
DPF - Time Constant For Limited Physical Model
DPF - Time Constant For Air Stream Resistance
DPF - Time Constant For Soot Mass
DPF - Negative Threshold Of Volume Flow Gradient For Dynamic Plausibility Check

and few other things.

Now there is some point that has to be said.

Every solution that is done easy way with software or quick copy some solutions that some tuner does by not knowing what does it mean but just find the sequence from the file that "works" and copy the solution that he once payed to resell others job not knowing that it actually work on long term --> is bad solution.

Any cheap modification - for few 10eur for dpf off is waste of money as nobody will work on file for hours to make it good and proper way without cheating for 10-30€...that is one thing that i hope some day most of the guys who look only on price not on quality will get it.

Also high cost programs do not mean that it works 100%, there is no program on the market that will do it properly 100%,
only manual work with working with damos can be done 100% - thats the only way.
