P2564 delete from EDC16U34

Postby Lunatic » Sat Aug 31, 2019 12:41 pm

Fellow enthusiasts, I'd like to ask for your assistance.

I'd like to remove the unneeded VNT smart actuator (boost control position sensor) from a MK5 Jetta 1.9 TDI PD engine. The fault code that comes up is P2564.

Can one of you kind souls direct me to a proper working solution? Is this as simple as zeroing out a particular map?

I wish to learn but I need a little guidance on this particular topic.

Original file, zipped, attached.

Thank you for your time.

My wastegate is vacuum actuated. The "smart sensor" does nothing except throw that nuisance code when the electrical sensor goes bad.

The BRM is configured like a European DPF optioned EDC16 car, but without the DPF.

Why did VW include that damn stupid actuator sensor anyway? It was included in the early specification "just in case" the DPF was needed to meet the emission cert. After emissions spec was met without DPF, who knows why they kept the trouble code active. It just becomes a nuisance because the actuator works 100% with vacuum and the sensor is passive "just long for the ride".
