Need help with pd100 tune (got logs)

Postby Kacp0006 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 2:53 pm

Hello, I've been remapping my own car for a year now, and I made a decent soft map which made 127bhp and 301nm(on dyno) https://i.imgur.com/JZLYM35.png
I was happy with the map but realized that the car was overboosting and going into limp mode due to sticky vanes. After cleaning the turbo and the intake manifold the car feels a lot better and quicker, that's why I want to make a better map for it ;)

I made the attached map based on the one I got dynoed and changed a few things.
DW: Only changed the last column to a bit over 60 as it doesn't request it all
Smokemap: caluculated to 16.67 afr
Torquemap:Smooth curve up to 2500rpm where it gets 60mg iq up to 3500rpm and it fades down again
Boostmap:(only) 2100mbar. The turbo is in great condition so I plan on doing 2250-2300mbar :)
I haven't touched SOI and durations as I won't be going over 60mg anyway.

Where I need a bit help is with the n75 as it doesn't hold boost like I want it to do. The map is completely stock as I thought it wouldn't be nessesary to change it.
My question is would I be able to take the stock pd150 n75 map and put it in as I've seen some people do it and it works just fine for them, but don't like to copy cause I don't learn that way ;)
Do I have to change the x axis on the n75 map to 50 or 55mg? It is maxed on 45 and I don't know if the ecu will extrapolate all the way to 60. Maybe I should add 2% duty cycle on the current map and that would work  I don't know

I attached the files and the log is found here

Any help would be highly appriciated, not only with the n75 but also generally things I could improve in the map

Great to see that someone is trying to learn and not just be a leach. Just to get things straight, is this a PD150 turbo? Btw i havent downloaded anything yet.

dont add anything to 45 axis in n75 because its already calibrated. In logs (which i hope you did WOT in 4th or 5th gear) i see slightly overboost around 2200-3000 on 60mg iq which looks pretty normal to me since it's WOT, if you want you can make 60 axis and copy everything from 45 and then open vanes a little between 2200-3000 although it doesnt looks like a overboost but a WOT boost spike

It's a stock pd100 turbo 315.000 km on it and it almost feels brand new ;)
My only problem is that the boost drops down to 1950mbar after 3000rpm
As you might see in the logs at around 3000rpm right after the overboost the pressure drops down to 1950mbar which limits my IQ down to 45mg since the engine doesn't get enough air.

How do I easily solve my problem?

Boost drops on 3000 because it overboosts a bit before so n75 increases duty cycle, i would try: add 60 collumn in n75, copy values from 45 collumn and change only values from 1900-2700rpm (extrapolate)
