MK5 Golf ppd 170 ecu immo to bkd 140 ecu

Postby falk_ben » Mon Jul 22, 2019 2:49 am

Hi all first post on here.

How do I retain my key and immobiliser if I swap my ppd 170 Siemens to bkd 140 bosch. I have vcds only. Do I need to remove the immo chip inside to swap?

These are 2 different ecu's, Immo is completely different

Thanks for the replies

OK just thought immo was vw put inside the ecu.

How easy is it to code a second hand bkd ecu to my motor that has been running Siemens? I have vcds and willing to learn. Second hand ecu will have unknown vehicle origins ie vin etc

i do not recommend this as the ecu's are completely different and works different, i suggest you fins a matching ecu otherwise you are going to have problems
