Mercedes EDC16C2/C31 boost limiter!

Postby jursi » Fri Jul 10, 2020 1:56 am

Hello!

Ive been trying to figure out is there somekind of svbl/boost limiter on edc16 mercs? ive modified the 2 boost x iq limiting maps, temp correction map and requesting 1.75 bar but only getting 1.6 max. Ive heard two stories, some say mercs edc16 doesnt have svbl but someone says there is 1x16 map limiting boost but i havent found one. there is lot of 1x16 maps with last values of 2250 but that cant be the limiting factor.

Thank you in advance!

Hello Jurebv!

Thanks for the help but ofc i already know those limiters but still not going over 1.5-1.6bar.
Barely peaks at 1.6 in high gear at 3000rpm.

I have done many edc16 mercs but first time needs more boost than the normal 1.4-1.5bar and i cant make it happen :o

The car before has had some guy do dpf delete with swiftec and im thinking could swiftec also just remove dtc's and raise the limp mode torque limiter and now the car is in limp and using somekind of limp vnt map so it isnt boosting as should?

I think om648 with 100mm3 should get requested boost quite quickly even with lower gears.

Any help where the VNT maps are?

Greetings, Jura!

raise the vnt map and check if there is any difference if it dosent work than you have to check boost pressure system
