Hi!

Postby nutski » Tue Apr 03, 2012 10:24 am

Hi everyone,

I spend a lot of my time on 406 Coupe Club and 406oc, i have a 2002 406 2.2 HDi Coupe which is deFap/deEGR, 2.5" stainless steel exhaust, BMC CDA and one of the 'standard noEGR maps' used by quite a few of use, also have a 2003 406 2.2 HDi Estate which so far has had a deFap and reMap.

Looking forward to learning a bit on here so i can possibly make my own MAP which is more bespoke to my car setup rather than standard one.

Welcome nutski,

at this moment there is "stronger" activity based on tuning EDC15C2.

Thanks for the links, my Coupe has the same map as MrH posted in the second link and my Estate has the '180' map which was in use previously, going to have a good read through the forum to try to start understanding things!

As do many coupe HDi owners I believe, however, it would appear that this map may well be far from ideal!

Like you I am hoping to gain sufficient knowledge to be able to edit maps to create one taylored for my needs.

I think you are right, i loaded it to my friends Coupe last weekend after we removed the EGR and airdozers, the plan was to do the same to my Estate aswell, i think i need to find a piece of software to start with and compare some maps to try and understand, i would buy a tuned map as i have done previously (i paid a tuning company to do my 2.0 HDi) but am now hesitant as you never really can be sure of the quality you are getting.

Selecting maps I have posted is more than great start - this is not little work it is quite an effort,
it is hard to find for beginner or to even know what to look and what you need.

After that, step by step. When you will have whole picture you can do amazing things.
