All about how to remove FAP and DPF filters

Re: dpf software

Hi All
Im new here, been looking around but cannot seen to find the info I need.

Will one of the free ECU editing software systems remove the FAP/DPF from a Citroen C5 2.2HDi map or will I need to get someting like EcuSafe? really dont want to spend loads of money on something I will only ever use once as it for my Dads car (he is having blocked filter warnings so want to remove the system)
I have downloaded a copy of EcuSafe but it will not load on my PC (win7) does it only work on XP?
Or is there someone on here that could edit the map for me if I emailed it to them?

Thanks for any info or help offered.
Rob

Hey guys,

I''m here with one question. I'm glad user of swiftec dpf removal thing,
but I need to expand the car list to dpf remove. Maybe You can help me
for searching more software for dpf removal. Hope to find something more
serious than Volta or Ecusafe.

Thanks,
Karolis

Could someone explain me why disabling DPF and EGR by Ecusafe is not optimal solution?
I have Vectra C 1.9 CDTI 150hp where EGR and DPF are disabled with Ecusafe + MPPS combination. Everything seems to be working just fine but what could be better? There is no fault light and EGR has blank plate and DPF is emptied.

So if you have some information why this is not a good method please advice me! And what would be better way to disable those?

Swiftec is really great tool, but not perfect. There are some ECU types that even swiftec can not do it. Like Siemens Sid305 and i'm not talking about asian cars. So maybe there are other tool who can fill this gap.

Agree regarding Vectra - C, I have also this car, and use these 2 tools to remove.
