Copy soft from one ecu to another

Postby emisb » Tue May 08, 2018 8:43 pm

Hello,

I have a Seat Leon FR 1P with EDC17CP14 ecu.
My ecu contains now a soft post diesel gate issue.
Someone gave me his soft from a pre diesel gate issue from a similar car.
I have a MPPS 13 tool with which I read the soft from my ecu and I would like to write the soft provided me by my friend, but I don't know what I need to do.
I suppose that if I only write the file from my friend's car my car won't start.
Please give me some hints, a tutorial or something.

Thank you!

You can compare 2 files from your car and the file provided you from your friend in order to see what the difference is. This can be done on ECM titanium. If you want I can do this for you.

i know you can write a tuned file from one ecu to another,
i did this on a golf 30 edition with no problems :D :D :D :D :D
you may need to checksum the file before writing
