Audi A4 B5 AFN BJ 2000

Postby schlayer » Fri Jul 17, 2015 10:13 am

Anyone knows how to read/write the hexdump from my 038906018FD Bosch Ecu?

With Galletto4 and OBD its not working, for CAN i dont have the right Pinout (80pin ecu).
I have tried a few common combinations but nothing worked.

I have read that this ecu can only be tuned by replaceing the hi/lo chips with programmable ones is this
true?

Thanks for your advise :)

Hi
Allmost ecu from VAG before year 2000 are with flash 27C1001(PLCC32)flash,you need a proper hw like Beeprog or other and adapter to read such kind of flash PLCC32
Also sometime you have to replace it,becouse these kind of flash are OTP

You must be soldered memory 2 x 27f1001 reading and programming of new 2 x 29f010 using the programmer.

Hi,
you need 2 x 28F010 (or 29F010) chips (512kB each) to replace old 27C1001 eproms. But even thoug you will have to remove chips from PCB board for writing with programmer and putting them back into ECO for testing. To make it more easy just mount 2 x PLCC32 sockets on PCB board. This way each chips programming does not require soldering. If you need any more assistance just write.
