AUDI A3 2.0TDI CR - EDC17CP14 - EGR Off Needed

Hi there guys,

I have been trying to learn a little more about tuning and modding the ECUs on the Modern Diesels,
My Personal Car has started to give EGR Issues causing Running Issues (CEL, Flashing Coil Spring etc)

I am finding it difficult to find information on "The Best Practice" way to disable the EGR System in the ECU

Obviously EDC Suite is not much help with this late model gear, and after much Searching I have found plenty of buy and sell services for editing the files, but nothing that gets in to the nitty/gritty.

I have read the ECU File with MPPS and attached it here.

I stumbled across some software that claimed to have removed the EGR OFF, but I have my doubts as I can't see the differences of the files, and I have no way (or idea) to Checksum either, Extreme Newbie.

Test this normally your tool should correct checksum automatic by fly.
EDC17 isnt as easy because of sperate blocks with functions... some ecus you have to correct also aefi section, some dont.
Here is solution with full chks correction. If chks failure tell and I will do without aefi chks correction.

I only have MPPS V13 I have borrowed.

I will try a flash now, but i have heard V13 is pretty average. Currently waiting for a Kess V2 to arrive!

i dont even know why you are trying to flash this ecu with a mpps clone tool it will not work

Not good idea to flash again if it didnt work first time... also non good idea to flash with different flasher then reader tools...

I am aware of this fact now

I know a tuning co. Who is sending me their Kess tool so will take a new read :-)

Live and learn. Car is still functioning perfectly fine. Just the EGR fault is causing MIL
