Well, I didn't find any information what to do if write fails. As far I can see, this ECU does not have BDM so I think that only solution if write fails is desolder eeprom chip and program it with some programmer. Luckily, I have programmer, even a spare eeprom chip, but waiting for delivery of hot air desolder tool so I will have everything to do reprogram eeprom flash chip...if regular write via OBD socket fails.

from what I've seen is really the best solution, you're going for a socket or after welding on the same chip?

another question is it really needed some eprom in stock, there is likely to damage the eprom?

the programmer who will use is willem?

This is programmer that I bought:

And this chip (for this price it is better to have one in stock):

I am waiting for this:

I hope that I would be able to desolder chip with it (if needed) :)

with a hot air gun is easy desoldering, the trick is just not to pull too hard and never give warmth for long in the same place. then you have to thoroughly clean the islands. after this I think the best thing will be to weld a socket ...the soldering iron is appropriate not be too hot, just enough, because more heat can burn the tracks that are very thin

have you seen that ?

the process is the same
8-)
but don't do the thing with the iron across the pins along the chip, you may solder 2 pin unconsciously, and that is a problem
