Winols potential map database?

Postby jacep » Wed Jul 13, 2016 6:19 pm

When you load a new Bosch binary into Winols and it locates potential maps is there a database of what those maps have been used for in the past? For example based on another program I know a certain map is the "EGT calculation model". When this same binary is loaded into winols this same map comes up as potential maps "Bosch II: 8x8 (8 bit)" which is correct. How does Winols locate this and is there a database of map deffinitions that I can use to help determine some of these unkown maps?

in fact there is no unknown map in ols at this stage the software only names maps if you have use damos or A2L on similar files before
and only in some conditions

what's your actual version this have changed lot last time now ols support 1byte maps

I currently have a demo. Its winols 3.46 demo for 32 bit. I don't have a Damos or A2l file for this ecu, only mapping that I have learned and purchased through dimsport (Race evo) however I believe some of the info is incorrect. I am getting familiar with winols to see if it would be beneficial for me and am liking it very much so far. Without a Damos are there any other possibilities of identifying a particular map?

the more map packs you make of ecu files the more winols will remember the axis data.
