Hello,

I am currently working on my Laguna (2002, 1.9 dCi 74 kW), and I kinda borrowed your file.

What I needed is an injection timing map. I just rewrote it to my file, and when my job ends (I'm at work right now), I will try the difference.

Been working on boost and rail pressure before, so the performance above 1800 rpm is just great (no, really - for 74 kW stock, it is a real surprise everytime I floor it!), but the torque below 1800 rpm is pain in the ass.

Been driving a 88 kW Laguna, and it is much user-friendlier below 1800 rpm - even before the turbo boost rises. My laguna goes up in smoke if I play with fuelling below 1900 rpm too much, but performance is still rubbish. :) So I will try some timing tweaks...

Here is the stock dump file - will upload the tuned one when I finish it...

hi zok thanks for taking an interest in this thread. How are you getting on with tuning your renault laguna then. Do you have the map pack for your file so i can compare. Car stood at the moment so may as well learn as it might be on the road again who knows.

hello buddy,

my laguna is my daily drive, and it is not in really good condition right now, so I've got nothing useful to show.

I am waiting for the parts, and have to do a serious drivetrain and powerplant rebuild: I have to replace both ball joints, steering tie rod end joints, rear shocks, hydraulic valve lifters, timing belt, auxillary belt, all seals on high pressure fuel pump and some other minor stuff... When all the hardware is ok, I will be able to see the real result. Give me two weeks, and it will be a rocket again.

I was chasing an audi a4 3.0 TDI yesterday, and I kept up with it, accelerating 30-130 km/h. after that, I was left a bit behind.. :?

Shame to hear your having troubles too. My car needs new gearbox, dmf and clutch and new brakes all round. So i figure plenty of time to learn this ecu and find the maps needed. What do you propose the estimated hp and nm are in your file

Well, your ECU file is a bit different than mine, I can post some addresses of the maps if you want. Well, I don't know all of them, as I'm still learning and trying to find maps in my file. :)

Well, I have no idea about laguna's power and torque (my friend's chevy captiva 150 HP was like a steddie Eddie  ), the file is still on experimental level (32nd version currently), I got a few knowledge about finding and modifying maps, and when the hardware is OK, I will do something more accurate and serious. This one is like huge amounts of fuel injected and turbo boost all the way up to the SVBL, no matter the RPM.

Are you able to post some addresses as mine might be in or around these places? Also can you list the maps you edited and what the sizes of the maps are please?

Sounds like you've been having fun 32 revisions haha. Which ECU tool are you using and have you had any trouble with the injector codes? My file in winols asks me which version to open as mine has two software codes which one should I be editing?

thanks

As I heard, all Renault EDC15 dCi's always have 2 different software numbers (so does mine), and it doesn't matter which one you use in WinOLS.

I am using Galletto 1260 clone, and have no idea what is going on about injector codes. A friend of mine (that works as a car mechanics teacher) had it plugged to one of his OBD tool, and could do actuator tests, read and delete all sorts of DTC's (A/C, ABS, ECU, etc), change idling speed etc, and code anything but injectors. :) After an injection failure, I replaced all injectors with Megane 1.9 dCi 74 kW injectors (bought them very cheap in UK), and nothing really changed, except the idling is smoother and engine start is quicker. No coding has been done.

I have to start my virtual PC to access to map pack I made so far, will upload it in minutes. ;)

Here is the map pack I made this week (didn't even know that I can export it, lol  ).

Some maps are missing, because I was searching for additional maps in potential maps, and they just, huh... disappeared.. :x I found two SVRPL's (not in the mappack because I lost them), but still can't find SVBL.

I am also attaching the de-tuned file. I found out that my laguna has been modified before I bought it. So I copied in the original maps. MAP linearisation data is decreased, because I am using dTi MAF sensor, and have no idea about its response - I can't find the datasheet, nor the 1.9 dTi 98 HP original file.. :? SOI map is some sort of hybrid between 74 kW dCi, 88 kW dCi and 1.9 JTD 85 kW. I kinda like it.

Thanks Zok. When I get home I will take a look at the map pack for your file and hopefully I will be able to begin looking at my file too.

The SVBL is easier to find in the 2d mode if i'm not mistaken. I'm sure there was a topic about a laguna somewhere and how to find some maps so I will post the link if I can find it.

Cheers again
