Hello-i can not find info on this anywhere. Does anyone know what the chip type is that i need to purchase to write to from my chip burner for a 96 aba gasoline 2.0l vw ? A good friend works at ibm and agreed to help me disect the coding if i can figure out what vw uses for a chip-so i can read it with my reader/burner. I seem to hit a block wall from everyone as they think im trying to "steal" their tunes but i just want to be able to burn chips for the cars i build. I build a lot of 2.0l turbo vw cars and i never seem to use the same hardware twice som t would be nice to tune chips my self. I have experience tuning -but its alway been with stanalones that take the tech part of the tuning out of the equation for me-ie a dashboard and easily viewable data. If their is an article or something i missed on my search im sorry. Its just hard to sict through all the new me7+ tuning stuff-i want old school ibdii aba chip burning info-thanks.
