Hello people,
Here is a hard one!
Volvo Truck Engine 16.1 L - 625 HP US Model.
The engine has EGR only (no DPF or SCR-ADBLUE). Also it has a Holset HE551VE electronic controlled VGT and a EGR MAS sensor that measures the EGR flow and the EGR Temperature!
I got the original Volvo programming equipment and the original flash file from the Volvo trucks ...!
This is not a ECM reading file.
The file has 3 parts ... DST1, DST2 and MSW.
In DST1 are a bunch of maps ... in DST2 are the DTC and also some maps. MSW is just the manufacturer software (nothing interesting here)
DO NOT ASK ABOUT CHECKSUM! I don't have it and I don't needed. I've modified these file for many times and put them back to the flash programming and is working great without cheksum thing!
I was able to close the EGR valve (it has just 1 egr valve) from the ECU but the engine doesn't run right!
Also I have some maps that I don't know they are for ...
I don't know which maps are SOI or duration of injection also and I cannot find anything that looks like MAPS selector based on engine temperature!
All mods via winols full version!
Disconnecting the wires from the EGR valve or EGR MAS will throw a code, will reduce the torque about 25% and will increase the fuel consumption!
I've tried many combinations and I cannot get it right!
I think it has 2 mods of operation ... one with EGR ON other with EGR OFF but the one with EGR OFF will increase the fuel consumption!

DST2 ... 2085000 offset
Anyone can help a little please?

That will be the most and the worts think to do!

or atleast to get some fuel economy!

I used ECM for your truck and appear EGR
which program are you used ?
Try ECM Titaniun

Those 2 files are original software package from Volvo Server!
For programming I use original Volvo Programming Tool.
