If anyone needs to clear after-sales zones on EDC15C2 using Lexia simply find working copy of ImmoTool v1.5 by Luis-Andre and all your prayers will be answered.
You need to desolder the 5P08C3 chip but be aware it is stuck down. The amount of glue varies! I destroyed two copper pads on one ECU because Bosch had almost covered the whole underside of EEPROM with this resin type glue. At least it will be a fun challenge to repair the two pads and traces.
Searched for ages on this forum and joined MHHAuto thinking paying for subscription would give access to professional help. Well it doesn't. Answers that forum as here are rare. It seems people want to protect their business by not helping newbies wanting to learn.
I read one post on Luis-Andre post from some guy pissing and moaning that his software puts people out of business. Software uploaded 12 years ago but the guy moaning last logged in in Jan 2026 so he's not out of business as he feared.
It's a steep learning curve if you want to learn stuff so be keen and stay keen and you can eventually work it out for yourself.
I virginised my own ECU and clear the issue which caused DTC's not to erase on Lexia and I am happy as Larry for working it all out on my own. Perhaps it was a simple case that some people didn't know the answer and were therefore unable to help.
Emailed CarPro and they were fantastic in response time and advice. The only member on this forum that actually answered any questions. So BIG respect to them!
Peace out!
