Postby rikhotsov » Sat Apr 20, 2013 6:30 pm

Hello

I need advice on a proper tool for 2010 Golf 6 GTI. BOSCH MED17. And whether I should use OBD or bench flash.

no kessV2 got a protocolle,

you can do it on the bench, if you use clone Bench is better.
Before you Brick the ECU ;)

With Original there is no Problem

Most MED17's theses days in the VAGs are bench only, some models did have a mix of bench and serial for a while too. With the GTI's none of these require a bench flash all can be done via OBD. I bet the Mk7 GTIs are all bench though :(

For these ECU's I use the New Genius tool usually not cheap but it works well.
