Tuning in the beginning

Postby volkan143 » Tue Apr 28, 2020 10:17 pm

Hey Guys,

i hope that all of you are good.

i try to understand how an engine is working and what possibilities i have, to make a professionel tune without to destroy the engine.

my problem is that after i read all the tutorials (https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap ... ne-control) and look many videos, i not understand how to work with winols.

as example i have uploaded a original BMW E46 File in Winols. Now Winols find automaticly some mapps. How i know which map is for what funcntion? i downloaded "mappacks, damons?" and after import them to winols, i can not find related maps:

drivers wish map
smoke map & limiter
and so on..

Can someone give me a good tip how he starts tuning or is started with tuning in the past? cars are my passion, and only coding is not making me happy anymore. i want to make me happy with chiptuning skills and other with professionell tune :)

i hope i can find the help here, i am searching for.

I look forward to your replies :)

regards

you need to learn how to find maps before starting tuning. there are few tutorials on internet, and after you will start to notice things that point you towards maps.

i just started with tuning too and first need to read a lot and understand, also winols guide is very usefull.

The First ecu i tuned was also from bmw. Is it a Edc 15 ? Best opionion is to learn how a map looks like, otherwise you won't learn anything.
The easyer way is to found a mappack for this file, but you must have the right one.
