Hi,

How can you tell if a ECU has a Tuningprotection or not.
Can you tell it by the ECU ID?

ECU ID (mpps v16)
Golf 6 2.0 TDI 2009 (cbab)
VW Hardware Number: 03L 906 022 AH
VW Software Number: 3892

(I own a Galletto v54 too, but why should I open the ECU when you can do it through obd too.)

2nd question: Lets say I bricked my ECU, how can I recover it, if I dont have a backup? Download a software with the same SW and HW nr and write it back in boot mode? (Immo, VIN?)

2009y. Over 10379 is certainly Tprot.
I always do EDC17 via bootmode.
You can recover with VasPc.
