Audi A4 170 EDC17 - Total noob - rate my tune

Postby AndrewW » Sat Jul 27, 2019 12:01 pm

Hi,

I have attached both original and MOD from a 2010 A4 2.0 TDI (170) which I have altered after reading around EDC17 tuning.

Could someone take a look and see if I'm on the right lines?

Thank you.

Hi mate,
untouched Torque limiters,NM/Iq,Lambda,IQ Limiters,SOI,TLimiter/gear,and so on.
Percent tune is a bad approach.
6% on Torque Limiter/atm pressure is too small. All your maps were changed percent!!!!!!You use only 3% and 6%.Not good.

Thanks for looking at this for me, I'm not sure what would be too much so have stuck to smaller increases for now. What's a better method than %? I worked out what I wanted at the higher end and then increased the higher rev/load values so thy were what i wanted, i thought % would keep everything below that in some kind of relation to follow the old curve.

I changed the four torque limiter maps I found to make it closer to what was requested on the wish map, is there more I haven't found or have i changed them incorrectly?

I'll do some more reading and give it another go!

(p.s. I'm not actually going to put this/any of my own maps on a car for a long time, i'm just trying to learn)
