Too much SOI and EOI edc15c2 Pug406

Postby MothaHDI » Fri Mar 23, 2018 5:38 pm

Hi! So today i'm trying to calibrate the injectors for a stage 2 and i did an app to help me do it! The app does the calculations in real time so its super helpfull for newbies like me :lol:

Can anyone check and help me improve my maps?

Changes:

SOI:- Since the target is 80mm3, i changed the axis of soi to 60 and 80 (55 before);
- Used the app to match the SOI with EOI until 10º ATDC;
- I saw that i need to much SOI , so what i need to do? Decrease Duration? Or increase rail pressure?

Duration:
-My axis goes to 120mm3 so i didnt change anything;
-Converted to degrees and interpolated the axis;

Rail Pressure: 1400bar ;

EOI:
- i tried not to pass the 10 degrees atdc because of egts and smoke;

Note: This is only i prototype, my car isnt ready for this but will be soon :twisted:

Car: Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi RHY, intercooled, MBC and well maintained;

Is that first picture the SOI you need?

Thats not much at all.
I had 1.9TDi's running at 38º BTDC.
My 1.6HDi does 27-31º BTDC

EOI I went as far as 20ºATDC, but that smoked some on the 1.6HDi so I dialed it back to 15ºATDC and its clear as a whistle

What about negative torque? and bad burned fuel?

If you increase rail pressure you will then have to decrease duration to keep the same amount of fuel going in. In turn you can adjust the SOI to keep things safe. The SOI maps have shared axis data with other maps, someone else will have to confirm if they need to be adjusted too...

increase rail pressure and....
why you want EOI 8 degrees atdc?
eoi 1 or 2 degrees atdc its fine and soi will be shorter,no?

Thx for the answers!! I remaped today and i increase my rail pressure to 1450 bar, cant increase more because of the sensor.
The car feels nice, but its too limited because AFR

The problema is SOI! If i calculate for 1 or 2 degrees the SOI will be too soon. I need to buy a 1800 bar sensor

and???
whats the problem of too soon soi??
dont forger rail pressure sensor linearisation before you install the 1800 bar sensor,and then you must know your fuel pump limits

The problem is negative torque! I learned it from the internet so it isnt always true :D

Think about when will very early SOI occur and how it affects the piston/combustion
