Struggling with a 406 HDI map...

Postby bally199 » Sun May 31, 2015 12:16 am

Hi all,

I'm really struggling with this 2.2 HDi I've got. I've read the map, but basically I've been trying for the last few days to get my head around what map does what in OLS. :(

I've even tried using ECM Titanium. All that happens here is I get a few maps which are seemingly random (Torque limiter is active between 45000rpm and 86rpm?) which is obviously not of value. I can't find any offsets or addresses for the map as well. So what I need is some help finding the addresses for the maps in WinOLS, once that's sorted then I'm confident enough to start mapping away happily :)

Oh, how I wish I had bought a VW TDI... :)

Thanks everyone,

Adam

Mate
i have a stage 1 map and the same with dpf off if you need it, exact same car. Mine works fabulously. I paid for it and think the price was a joke, happy to share it though.

Don't trust ECM Titanium. Only trust what you find out to be correct about maps!
First of all find all the maps and axes in you file using WinOLS, then identify what every map is using info from the forum.
You can find plenty of info here:
406-2-0-hdi-rhz-project-t262
If you need automotive software search mhhauto.
