Strange issue EDC16C34

Postby Lighty » Wed Jun 19, 2013 2:27 am

I was sent a map file to try a couple of days ago to try on my 206 GTI HDI,
I connected the car to the Snap-on battery charger and set it to the "Flash Reprogram" setting,
Then put laptop on charge, connected MPPS lead to DL16 and laptop, and wrote the file,
All seemed to go okay and there were no apparent issues, left ignition off for 3 minutes etc,
Although when I went to drive the car, it was in the 3k rev limiter limp mode, and no power whatsoever,
When looking on PP2000, I got faults in the ABS ECU, "Communication with Engine ECU" and "Regulation of engine torque"
These usually come up when the EGR is unplugged :S but it was connected,
I also had many faults to do with configuration on the Engine ECU, including injector classification etc,
Turns out my Engine ECU had lost all of it's configuration including injector codes ?!
I put the standard "BOSCH EDC1" file back on and configured ECU, configured injector codes, and faults would then clear.
I have since put my remap back on the car and seems okay now,
Is this symptoms of a bricked ECU ? or something else ?
Thanks,
Isaac

Peugeot and Citroen-EDC's are generally "confused"..
Sometimes, when i unplug it; and plug in again -> The EDC is programmed as "automatic gear" and the car won't do anything.

Still wanting to get rid of this...
