stage 1 bkc 105ps

Stage 1 file

Could i have opinions and what can be improved.
Map was done for me but seems to be very flat, car is faster but a 130ps mk4 golf feels to be more torque and pull harder down low.

I see strange behaviour at idle, loud whistle on idle now it has a free exhaust.

Upgraded single mass flywheel and clutch kit
no cat or back box
EGR deleted but kept ASV for safety
PD 130 turbo has been fitted

Can i get more power or torque?
deeper exhaust note on idle?

This tuned file is really Crap, it has got a bigger turbo but it's being wasted, you can boost allot more than this even with a stock turbo.

The file doesn't set up for the PD130 Turbo.
Durations are all wrong.
Soi are wrong.

Thanks for the honest reply.
What parts of the map need improving or is it really that poor all together?
I don't mind getting some software and starting my own project to edit and improve it myself, he charged me £250 to do that file!
Would I be able to do this with WinOls or do I need other software?

Thanks

Winols is truly the best software to use, but is more difficult, and especially if you havent worked with it yet. You would need to spend alot of hours first learning the basics of winols and how to make mappacks and understanding how engine parameters work and how they work together in the engine with the correct offsets and so on. Its really not easy to do it properly. My suggetion would be use an easy and free software like vag edcsuite, to start understanding maps and how they look like and work. Its very very easy software, and only gives you the basic maps.

I have a basic understanding of how the various maps work, i haven't modified one myself. This would be my first step in to doing it. I would like to work with someone if they dont mind sharing some knowledge or time. Iwhat i would like is to compare my map against standard and a decent map. See what values have been change, what limits are to be kept too etc. This might sound tedious to some people whilst i research. If i just buy and flash a map i wont learn much?

Anyone willing to help?

No one has specifically said what it is about the map that is poor.

Hi mate,
you have the answer on Houdini post for your question"No one has specifically said what it is about the map that is poor."
Fited a bigger turbo but set poor boost.Low IQ, unmoded lambda maps, poor Nm/IQ map,,wrong SOI and DOI maps, bad mod on EGR map(is EDC16 not EDC 15, egr off need to mod hysterezis maps),poor DW maps, bad mod on Torque limiter map(25% from 1250rpm to 4500rpm??????,why need to increase the Torque limiter on top of mountains at atm pressure of 700mbar???drive the car at 3000m high???).
