Skoda Octavia2 Binary File

Postby Autospark » Thu Oct 24, 2013 7:17 pm

Hi
I'm new to this forum and to looking at ECU data and am interested in learning as much as I can but I need some help.

I have read the file from my ECU using MPPS and am having trouble using VGAEDCSuite v1.3.9.0

I think that my ECU is an EDC16, does VGAEDCSuite work OK with EDC16? When I open my binary I get the following message
"No EDC15P/VM File [EDC16] 03G906021TC.Bin" If I click OK it goes on to open the file but doesn't appear to recognise many maps and doesn't consistently come up with the same results. Is this normal? Do I need to learn how to find the maps manually?
You can tell I'm new to this...... :?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I can add the binary if it's useful, but someone would have to tell me how to do it coz I can't see how to do so at the moment

Hi m8,

VAG SUITE can see some maps from VAG EDC16 ,but not all.
For attach. you need 3 post minimum, read this first: rules-ver-1-0-t12

Thanks
What software would be best for EDC16?
I have read the rules and now have the add file option.

Thanks for the info.
I've had a look at TunerPro and it looks like I would need a .XDF file for my EDC16 ECU and I can't see one on the TunerPro web site.

Any advice?

Hi

I have uploaded my original ECU file from my Skoda, details as follows:
Skoda Octavia2
1968cc TDI PD A Diesel engine
103kw - 138Bhp
1Z chassis

Using VAG EDC15P+ Suite I can see a few maps and there appear to be 2 sets of maps at different code blocks. I'm not sure why this is, could it be for another variant of the Octavia? Example, for the 4x4 version of the same car?

I would be grateful if someone could help me to identify the location of the maps and how to identify the correct axis data.

Any help would be much appreciated.

OK, just got a message " Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached" Not sure what that means :(
