I am new at this and need some help.
I have read the topics, but still could not figure out how to electronically remove the FAP / DPF.

I wonder how to remove?
I've heard the ECUsafe.
I usually set the cars as ECMtitanium.

Now I wonder if it has to be done by hand, or is there a program that does automatically without needing human intervention
;)

I am glad for this question. :)

Answer is the program that does as less damage as possible. It is probably Swiftec.
But proper answe is - human work - manually, i will explain why.

My comment is not for you, it is in general speaking... :P

Any program which does not use switch solutions does crap inside the binary - ANY PROGRAM.
There is a lot of sw versions for each ecu, and not all of them having same binary sequence pattern & logic.

so the programmers that do software for that kind of things and are not using switch solutions but combined emulated and error deleted solutions,
can not catch proper modification all the time, enough is even to make damage in one car...and beleive me, every program has bugs - a lot of them.

only way to do it properly is manual work but that costs and takes more time,
but is proper and you wont have any reclamation from customers.
if you do mistake you will know why, but if program does a mistake you want know what the program wanted to do.

key to success is knowing the ecu you are working on

Main problem is that anyone wants solution in 1minute, and to charge as much as it can, but to pay nothing for it.
or to make bunch of cars per day. Guys just want to read and write ecus - that is not any kind of knowledge.

But that is only bad quality and fast money on short term, but for long business concept more work, less money, more learning and Reading / investigating,
is the key to success. Rather do 1 car per week for higher price with high quality and guarantee, than 15 cars for low price and low quality,
and than you get 10 cars back with different kind of problems and bad reputation...

With high quality and defensible price for that quality level,
you will get a loooooot of customers
and the business will last forever,
but with low quality business will not last long - at least until some guy comes and starts to do high quality modification.

Fast tuners, low cost & quality master / slave tuning, modifications and low quality tuning is getting weaker.

Learn, Learn, Learn that is better investment.

Hi!

Can you recommend any of the sponsors to do this work on alfa romeo 159 1.9jtdm '07?

I want to permanent disable DPF in original file but want a manual solution, no easy software like ecusafe or volta.

Thanks alot.

There are not ready-to-use universal solutions for DPF-off. Some car can be done with ECUsafe, some cars can be done with OEM tools. Swiftec is too expensive to buy for only 1-2 cars per month. WinOLS is only for real programmers who knows about assembler more than custom people. There are commercial decissions for DPF-off. "Adact" on example (it's not an add).

Apart from WinOLS, any common hex editor would be suffice in order to correctly find and edit ECU maps?
