Hi

I was half way through editing a post (a large one) and all of a sudden I lost the permission to make edits! :shock:

When I pressed submit I got an error "you cannot edit this post" or something like that. Now the edit button is missing from all my forum posts!

I was hoping to start a project thread but its going to be difficult without edits being enabled...

there has been many problems when editing posts where allowed.

As you know this is public forum and every one can register,
the ones that want to help and to get help and on the other hand the ones that want to make a lot of troubles.

In the past happened a lot of times that user asks question (knowing the correct answer), than he gets an answer and after that
he edit his question with that kind of way that it degrades the person who answered correctly but when question is edited than the answer is not correct any more and the user who answered looses the reputation.

That's only one sample, there is a lot of them.

But.

We decided to leave the edit button, but just in case of mistake in the post, that means that user can change the post in 15min after the post was made, that's why answers are most of time not given before 15mins...

also we will prepare special permissions for users with status like yours, you will have special permissions in the future.
