PPD1.2 SN100L8000000 - 03G906018DT, Why so many maps ?

I am studying my tuned Siemens maps PPD1.2 SN100L8000000 - 03G906018DT, within my ECU as I am not 100% happy with the throttle response and also think there may be an issue elsewhere, maybe with the torque limiter.

I have mapped my own petrol car for many years, and reluctantly had to go to a specialist to tune my newly aquired diesel. However as I am not 100% happy with the results I now want to have a go at my Diesel.

By creating an XDF within TunerPro for my bin file and cross referencing to the BDM files with PPDMaps tool there are many Turbo Maps, Turbo Control Maps, SOI Maps and Driver wish map to name but a few.

Why are there so many.
I assume there may be Manual, Auto, DSG versions of the same map.
Some are probably ECT related (SOI maybe) but it all seems rather over complicated having several maps rather then a single ECT map that scales the main maps.

Unfortunately PDDMaps names them all the same, so It would be nice if I could obtain the information to break these down to the correct category.

If anyone has info that could be provided it would be appreciated.
