Free open beta OneByte ecu editor with auto map recognition

Onebyte — ECU map editor (open beta, free)

Try it free: www.onebyte.com.co

Open a dump and Onebyte finds and names the maps for you. Runs in your browser (nothing to install) and as a desktop app.

Identifies the ECU automatically, from the file.
Finds and names the maps, with units and axes. Load an A2L and every map comes in by its Bosch label.
Stock or already tuned? Each file is compared with the stock references of its software, so you see what someone changed before you.
Automatic Stage 1 — limiter, driver wish, smoke, boost, rail and injection raised together, by rules checked against 8,826 tuner files. You see every change before it's applied. Diesel and increasingly petrol.
Ready-made services: DPF, EGR, DTC, AdBlue, swirl off — for off-road and competition use only.
Editor like you know it: table with heatmap and Δ %, 2D graph, 3D surface, block operations, copy/paste, axis editing, Interpolate Extrapolate, undo for everything.
Hex view, the whole file as a curve, side-by-side with the original.
Your own maps: finds tables by structure in files it doesn't know; imports TunerPro XDF and WinOLS map lists/packs.
Versions, compare, transfer a tune to another software of the same engine.
Formats: BIN, HEX, S19, WinOLS .ols/.kp.
The original stays untouched and every plan is computed from it. Checksums are left to your flashing tool. Covers 50+ ECU families (VAG, BMW, Mercedes, PSA, Opel, Ford, Fiat/Alfa, Renault, Volvo, Hyundai/Kia, JLR...).

Please report any bugs or wrong map detections here on post.

As Im looking for testers Im also looking for damos, or pairs of tuned files so I can extand my coverage willing to pay, trade whatever. mostly need edc17, delphi, denso, continental families and mgd1.

Thanks and happy tuning

Tried this for testing purposes on EDC16U1 just to see what it does. So as hex editor or to find maps it's quite good. Just would be better that the maps had a bit easier names to be understandable to everyone that doesn't know much about these.
As for automatic stage 1: as always just some % tuning and that's it. Some of the values in DW maps are lower than in TQ limiter. Many parts of the maps are changed when there's no point to do that. Nm to IQ map extrapolation is good. EGR OFF also looks fine.So I don't know about what logic or rules and some thousands of files from "tuners" you are talking about :D
In % tuning there's no logic : you just adding some % there and there and that's it. Same as many "tuners" here or everywhere else, but with this it's just faster than doing it by hand :D
Didn't checked about DTC's,hope it works properly.
So the start is good, but there is where to improve.

tnx for the feedback, logic came from my tunign files, and some others available online(this is the reason real testing needs to be performed a lot) for some older ecus stg1 could be better agree there.
There is no % tuning added anywhere its actualy calculation stage 1 is done without extrapolation but interpolation is done for fuel and boost maps, if that is not working correctly I will fix it.
Still long way to go I know, but you have to start somewhere.

No % tuning anywhere? Calculated? How do you calculate that you need to add 15% on whole smoke map or 30% on whole TQ limiter?
Or DW last two columns by 10%? I can't add photos to show because of attachment quota.

True, didnt check every family ofc, will work on this for proper calirbration not sure why it doesnt follow my rules instead copying alrady % tuned file logic.
