Need Guidance on Ford ECU Mileage Correction – What Tools Are Required?

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to learn the proper process for correcting mileage on Ford ECUs (Powertrain Control Modules). My goal is to understand which professional tools, software, and equipment are required to modify or synchronize mileage between the cluster and the ECU.

I frequently replace ECUs and end up throwing away the old ones, so I would like to be able to adjust the ECU mileage instead of buying a low-mileage used unit every time. Budget is not an issue — I just need to know the correct and recommended tools for:

Reading/Writing Ford ECU EEPROM/Flash

Correcting or synchronizing mileage values (PCM + cluster)

Modifying ECU data without corrupting the immobilizer or PATS

Any special Ford-specific correction tools you recommend
