Which hardware for KTM motorcycles?

Postby boris7589 » Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:19 am

I am new to this forum so i hope i posted in the right subforum. I have quite a lot of experience dynotuning motorcycle engines primarily from KTM. However newer bikes have their ECU locked so using the OEM UST tool and TuneECU (pre2013 bikes) is now getting more and more obsolete. So i am trying to get my head around which tool i should choose for the future, i prefer tools that can program through the main port and not by opening the unit:

KTM TPI bikes- Continental/Siemens M3C
KTM SX EXC and 690 - Keihin 7055

Dimsport have New genius for the 7055 but uses Trasdata for M3C.

I/O Terminal works mith M3C from Ducati but dont know if it works with the KTM version, emailed the company and got a "maybe it will work" answer?

Alientech Kessv2 works with 7055 but M3C seems to be K-Tag only.

Are there any other programmers you would recommend? Any input which programmer you would buy and why?

Bought a bitbox for the M3c and it works great. However i still ant a tool for the Keihin. Kessv2 works but a original unit with all the plugins are quite expensive considering the small market for motorcycle mapping.
