Hello From Australia

Postby MT-09 » Thu Jan 16, 2020 11:22 am

Hi All,

I have an 2014 MT-09 Yamaha motorcycle. It is running badly. I assume it has a sensor fault. The ebay OBDII cable and blue tooth adapter I bought do not work. The bike uses the CAN4 500k connection to the ECU. My OBDII connection improved when I installed a 120 ohm termination resistor to the bus but still no go.

I am using Torque for Android as the sensor tool. Before installing the resistor Torque would cycle through the OBDII protocols with no success. Having installed the resistor it now settles on CAN4 500k and the comms leds flicker on the Bluetooth tool but it fails. I assume I have got connection but the ECU expects some sort of access code.

Can I have some advise on which forum would be best for this inquiry.

The ECU is DENSO 1RC-8591A-21-00

The reflash software vendors have worked it out as the bike can be reflashed.

All the best,
Steven
